DHEA is a seemingly neuroprotective steroid hormone associated with youthful resilience. Concentrations decline with age, and our data suggest higher levels are associated with fewer symptoms. (We'll go over the data.) There are some contraindications to taking it, and while inexpensive and over-the-counter in the US, in some countries it's highly regulated as a potential performance-enhancing steroid.
