Angelos Dovletoglou has had a scientific career for more than 30 years, having earned his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Athens, Greece. He started his drug development career at Merck Research Labs, then worked at Biogen, Epizyme, and Origin Biosciences. Currently he is at Repare Therapeutics in Cambridge, MA, managing early and late-stage CMC and preclinical development activities, and developing and implementing CMC and regulatory strategies in support of global clinical regulatory filings. Over the last 32 years has contributed to eight NDA/WMA filings and commercial drug product manufacturing launches, and multiple FDA pre-approval inspections.
His PD diagnosis came at the age of 60, on a rainy Friday evening (1Dec2023) where he learned of his DaTscan scan results in the car at a grocery store parking lot. He was very fortunate that his wife and life partner was next him to alleviate the pain, fear and confusion of the news. Over the past six months he has started climbing a steep learning curve and has charted new coordinates for the remaining 1/3 of his journey and would love to share his experience so far.
